Using Question And Answer (Q&A) Mode
This page describes how a moderator can use the Web Control Panel (screenshot to left) to implement Q&A Mode on a conference call. This feature is only available with conference call plans 2 and 3. Q&A mode requires the use of the Web Control Panel.

1. Using Q&A Mode in a Conference Call
Q&A Mode is only available via the Web Control Panel. Q&A mode allows a moderator to mute all participants' lines while one person speaks. If a muted participant would like to speak, they "raise their hand" by pressing 11 on their phone keypad. This will show an icon by this participant in the Q&A column of the Conference Management Call form shown in the screenshot below.

The moderator and participant keypad combinations for use in Q&A mode are detailed below:

Moderator Mutes All Participants (Enter Q&A Mode).
Participant Raises Hand.
Moderator Un-Mutes All Participants (Exit Q&A Mode).

TIP: The moderator allows a participant to speak by clicking on the icon that appears on the Q&A column when they raise their hand (11). To make sure a raised hand is quickly seen, change the Refresh Rate dropdown to 10 Seconds while in Q&A mode on the conference call.
